The 7th generation iPad, 8th generation iPad, and 9th generation iPad all have a 10.2-inch retina display, which is bigger than the pervious generations (but smaller than the 10th generation iPad). If you want to keep the screen as pristine as possible, you’re going to want one of the best iPad 10.2 screen protectors! Tempered glass screen protectors are the best way to prevent the screen on your iPad from getting scratched or scuffed, while still ensuring that the functionality and visibility will be the same as the day you bought it.
Quick List
Protect with clarity
This screen protector comes in a 2-pack and is incredibly simple to install — if there are any bubbles, use the squeegee it comes with to press them out.
Multi-protection
Not only will this protect your iPad screen from harm, it also protects you. It has a built-in blue light blocker to protect your eyes, and antimicrobial protection to keep germs at bay.
Paper-like
If you prefer the feel of paper under your Apple Pencil, you’ll love this paper-like matte plastic film on your iPad. Your Apple Pencil or other stylus will glide across it in the most pleasing way.
Fantastic Installation
IQ Shield is known for having a fantastic installation process that ensures you won’t have any dust or bubbles in the way. This alone makes it one of the best iPad 10.2 screen protectors.
Best sensitivity
Made with Apple Pencil in mind, this screen protector promises the same sensitivity and touchscreen responsiveness, even with Apple Pencil. It also boasts a 9H hardness factor to protect against scratches and cracks.
Invisible protection
If you really don’t want to put a screen protector on your device but feel like a little protection is better than none at all, you might try out this spray-on liquid screen protector. I’ve tried these in the past; it’s definitely invisible on, but it’s hard to count on this for any serious protection.
Q&A
Will a screen protector made for a different model fit my iPad?
You can always trust iMore.

Apple’s 7th (2019), 8th (2020), and 9th (2021) generation iPad all share the same screen size: 10.2 inches. Any screen protector made for any of those models will fit the others interchangeably.
However, earlier and later models have smaller and larger screens, respectively, so those screen protectors will not fit. There has never been an iPad mini, iPad Air, or iPad Pro that had a 10.2-inch screen, so none of those screen protectors will fit your 10.2-inch iPad either.
How do I choose the best screen protectors?
A tempered glass screen protector is one of the best ways to protect the screen on your best iPad. I have used the amFilm tempered glass screen protector on plenty of other devices, and they are fantastic. They fit snugly, are super clear, and the installation is pretty easy.
If you don’t like thickness and want the thinnest protector possible, check out the KCT 2 Pack Paperfeel Screen Protector. It isn’t glass, it’s a plastic film. As a result, it will feel like there’s barely a screen protector at all. For the absolute minimalist, you can try the ULTRA ARMOR Liquid Glass Screen Protector, but I wouldn’t count on it for any serious protection. It’s better than nothing, but we’d recommend that you stick with glass or plastic if you want to feel confident that you won’t get a scratch on your iPad screen.
